We would like your Skeet experience to be a good one.
A good experience is where you go home feeling confident, are eager to come back and shoot more skeet.
We developed our Skeet Clinic Cirriculum with that in mind.
Cost
The lessons are free!
Shooter will be responsible for:
Providing their own Gun
Providing their own shells.
Paying for five (5) Skeet rounds at the club's regular rate.
Sponsored by South Dakota State Skeet Association
Scheduling
Minimum Two shooters per Session.
Maximum Five Shooters per Session
Maximum Two Sessions per day.
AM Session 9:30 AM to 12:00 Noon
PM Session 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM
What Shooter will learn
Skeet Etiquette – proper range behavior and safety
Flow of Skeet Game – how a round progresses.

Clay Target Games - How does Skeet differ from Trap and Sporting Clays
·Gun Mount - ensure accuracy, stability, and safety while shooting.
Eye Dominance - ensure accurate visual perspective between gun and target.
Stance - where to face; how and where to stand, and why it matters
Break Points – where targets should be broken
Hold Points – where to hold the gun before calling for the target
Look Points – where to focus your eyes
Lead – methods of lead & how to lead and break targets
Follow Through – maintain proper motion through the shot
What Shooter Will Need to Bring
Shotgun
Recommended Gauge - 12-Gauge or 20-Gauge
Field or Sporting Clays Gun with 50/50 to 60/40 Impact Point
Trap gun with impact point greater than 60/40 is not advised
Chokes
Skeet, Improved Cylinder or Cylinder
Tighter choke will seriously handicap a skeet skeet and are not recommeded
Shells
Shooter will need to furnish 5 boxes of shotgun shells
12-Gauge 1 1/8 oz, 1 oz or 7/8 oz loads
20 -Gauge 7/8 oz loads
Shot Size #9, #8 1/2 , #8 or #7 ½ (Larger shot is not allowed on a clay target range)
